The Watchlist Subscription

You send the tool list. We stand watch over the language for you, weekly, and you find out what moved before a parent, a monitor, or a board member does.

Limited district seats per tier.

The Watchlist Subscription

Your district’s personal Tool Vault

Short on capacity? Let us help fill out the intelligence layer without your confidential information leaving the district.

  • Your district’s personal Tool Vault. You give us a list of the AI and edtech tools your district actually runs. We apply the same methodology, the same forensic read, and the same publication discipline as the free Tool Vault, but pointed at your tools instead of the ones we choose for the public. The District Filing, the Incident Bulletin, and the Drift Audit are still the engine. The difference is that the inventory under the lens belongs to you.

  • When a vendor on your watchlist quietly rewrites a data clause on a Tuesday, you know by Monday morning’s bulletin with verified sources. When a tool you depend on gets breached, you know before your local news does. When a vendor's terms drift away from the version your district originally signed, you have a written record of every word that moved.

This is the work that cannot be automated. Somebody has to decide what counts as drift on your vendor, in your contract language, against your board's tolerance. That somebody is The Language Firm.

    • Subscriber submits the form

    • Fit call confirms tier, tool list, and payment method

    • Statement of Work is issued with the proposed start date as "the first Monday after payment is confirmed" (or some similar formulation), not a fixed calendar date

    • Statement of Work is signed

    • Invoice is issued

    • Payment is received

    • The first weekly briefing is delivered the following Monday

Watchlist Subscriptions are sold in capped slots at each tier. We hold the cap because the watching only works if we can dependably do the work for every district on the list, and quality erodes when capacity gets stretched.

  • Weekly incident monitoring on your tools.

    Weekly delivery cadence.

    What you get:

    • Up to 10 tools and their vendors on your watchlist

    • A weekly briefing every Monday covering every incident, breach, policy change, terms update, and known issue affecting any tool on your watchlist

    • The same incident reporting standard as the free Weekly Incident Bulletin, applied only to your tools

    • Watchlist swaps once a month upon request

Best for: Districts that want raw incident monitoring on a focused set of tools and prefer to interpret the findings themselves with their own internal team.

  • Weekly incident monitoring plus a private weekly District Filing on your tools.

    Weekly delivery cadence.

    What you get:

    • Everything in Signal (up to 15 tools and their vendors, weekly incident briefing, monthly swaps)

    • A weekly private District Filing covering up to 15 of your tools

    • Plain-language interpretation of what each change means in a K-12 environment

    • Recommended next steps for the week

    • Suggested language for staff and board communication when something needs to be said out loud

    • The same publication discipline as the free weekly District Filing in the Tool Vault, applied only to your tools

Best for: Districts that want both monitoring and the translation layer that turns alerts into next steps and into language they can use with their cabinet, staff, and board.

  • Everything above, plus quarterly forensic drift analysis on your full watchlist.

    Weekly delivery cadence.

    What you get:

    • Everything in Signal + Filing (up to 20 tools and their vendors, weekly briefing, weekly Filing, plain-language interpretation, board-ready language)

    • A quarterly Drift Audit on your full watchlist, applying the same forensic methodology as the free First Watch: The Drift Audit on the Tool Vault

    • A line-by-line comparison of each vendor's current terms, model behavior, and public claims against the version your district originally signed

    • A written report naming every place the language has moved, paired with forensic pattern classifications (policy-posture divergence, convergence, or asymmetric movement)

    • A filing-ready document you can hand to your board, your legal counsel, or a federal monitor as evidence of contract drift

    • Watchlist swaps once a quarter (Drift Audit requires a stable baseline to measure against)

Best for: Districts that need to protect the contract itself, not just monitor the tool. The most complete posture in the Watchlist line and the right tier for districts whose AI procurement is being scrutinized by their board, their legal counsel, or a state or federal reviewer.

  • Subscriptions are billed annually and end at the close of the term, unless renewal takes place. Renewal notices are sent 60 days before the end of the term so your district has time to process a new purchase order for the following year or cancel.

Subscription slots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, in the order signup forms are received and tiers are paid for. When all slots in a tier are filled, that tier closes to new subscribers until a current subscription ends or is not renewed. If your preferred tier is full, you can join the waitlist on your intake form and we will notify you when a slot opens.
