Using The Glossary
Nine sections, grouped by function. Terms are organized by where they live in the firm's operating system.
An A-Z index. Every term is reachable directly by letter for readers who arrive knowing what they need to look up.
Three registers of term, marked as such. Definitions set by law or by a published standard are reported. Established terms of art are used in their settled sense. The firm's own coinages say so.
Working citations to primary sources. Statutory and regulatory terms link to the U.S. Code at the Legal Information Institute, to the eCFR for current regulations and FAR clauses, and to the agency page for E-Rate, so a reader can verify the language rather than take the definition on faith.
A note on terms commonly confused. Six pairings held apart, including drift category against forensic pattern, gap against seam, and named reader against the Human Being, each stated as the two questions it answers.
A dated changelog. Every edition records what was added, corrected, renamed, or split, and against which source, in the same register the firm applies to vendor documentation.

The Current Standing Calendar
What The Current Standing Offers
A register of authorized tools. Each entry carries the vendor, whether the tool is student-facing or teacher-facing, the services it performs, links to the terms, privacy policy, and DPA the authorization rests on, and the date it was procured.
A named reader on every record. The accountable person and institution are set once and carry through the register, its exports, and its printouts.
A review cadence per tool. Monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or annual, set tool by tool rather than district-wide.
Standing at a glance. Every tool is ordered by review urgency, from up to date, through the midpoint of the cycle, to a countdown, to overdue.
A journal of findings. Each review is logged on or before its scheduled date, so the register holds the read history, not just the current state.
Out-of-cycle re-reads. Recording a material update sets the tool to Re-read required immediately, because a vendor's change to its terms does not wait for the cycle.
A forward calendar. Each tool's future reviews are projected on its own cadence, so the year's reading load is visible in advance.
A record a district can file. Print the Standing list or the Calendar for a dated record, and export the register to back it up or move it to another machine.
Nothing leaves the browser. The register is held on the machine that created it. Export and import are the only way it travels.
