The work behind the work. If we can call it that.

Investigation is fun. Investigation of the human language is even better. The drive to understand how meaning and reality shift through language is one of the defining experiences of being human. We are not merely the sources of spoken and written language. We are living and breathing corpora: the creators, the prototypes, and the standard against which every artificial system is measured. AI does not set the tone. We do. AI can't be held accountable when it makes the policy or sets the benchmark. We can.

The Language Firm exists to ensure that the language governing education technology, student data, and institutional compliance is read with the rigor it demands, investigated for the exposures it conceals, and resolved before accountability falls on the people who never realized what they agreed to.

The method is forensic language analysis. Vendor agreements read against privacy policies, privacy policies read against terms of service, terms of service read against DPA exhibits, and the whole stack read against the federal language a district is accountable for. From there, three doors. The District Filing Workshop enrolls a cabinet for four weeks and leaves with a signed, audit-ready record of what the district has adopted, what the language actually commits to, and an in-house method the team can carry forward. The Watchlist Subscription puts a district's live tool inventory under weekly monitoring for incidents and contract drift. The Tool Vault is the free front door, publishing the weekly District Filing, the Weekly Incident Bulletin, First Watch: The Drift Audit, and the Federal Findings Digest, so every district has something current to read before anything is purchased.

Every finding carries our name, a date, and the expertise that can be called upon when an auditor, a parent, or a board member asks who read the language and what they found. This is what "linguists in the loop" means in practice. Not a slogan, but a staffing decision.

A model can draft. We read, align, sign, and stand behind that model’s governance. No need to worry about what the language is doing when you aren’t looking. The language answers to us.
